Update on the 4 Luxury Homes in High Wycombe

On our last blog for this development in the rolling countryside of the Chiltern Hills, we had completed the installation of the timber frame for both plots one and two and the steels for plot three were due to be installed ready for the ground floor panels to be delivered and fitted. Read more on the first two plots here in our earlier article on this High Wycombe development.

By mid-July house three had been installed and the groundworks had commenced for house four which was due to be manufactured in August 2018. The timber frame panels were delivered to site on the 11th September and by the 28th September, the house was installed, that is a total of 13 working days and the house is then ready for roofers and external cladding to be installed.

With the ground floor panels installed, along with the steels, the floor joists can now be installed as well as the chipboard flooring which acts also as a working platform for our erectors to install the first floor panels.

Here the flooring has commenced and the next lift of scaffolding is in place ready for the first floor panels being installed. The use of a telehandler for lifting the panels assists the erectors speed the construction process.

The first floor panels are then installed with 18mm OSB3 installed to the flat roof areas.

All the panels have now been installed and flat roofs boarded ready for the roofers to install the membrane. The external face of the building will now be battened and cladded with the glazing to follow shortly after.
