Second Phase of New Build Timber Frame Home in Woodcote

Since our last blog the timber frame home has been installed as well as the detached double garage, the roofs have been tiled, the first fix services have been completed, plaster boarding to the whole house internally underway and brickwork commencing!

The house has been installed with an MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery) which will increase the homes energy efficiency due to it using less energy to supply and extract air throughout the whole property, re-using up to 95% of the heat that would have otherwise have been lost.

Here is a photo of the installed unit within the roof trusses (still to be mounted on boarding) with the ducting to and from the unit installed down from the roof to the joists and distributed via the metal web joists.

Whilst the external works are underway, the plaster boarding could commence internally to all walls and ceilings.

We’ve put together another time lapse video for you to see the process from foundations to installation of the timber frame, but you’ll notice nature wanted center stage on this video, so some branch trimming is in order for the next footage we publish.

More photos and videos will be uploaded onto our Facebook & Twitter pages over the coming weeks as well as follow up blogs, so please keep checking back for more updates.
